The Wedding Weekend
The wedding weekend, in our modernized culture, begins with the wedding party (immediate family, bridesmaids, and groomsmen) arriving to the occasion before the rest of the invitees to go over the wedding setup and rehearsal elements. While planning an entire weekend away for the wedding party members is not necessarily a new concept to the extravagancies of the ordeal, the concept has progressed further into the grandiosities to now include the majority of the wedding attendees, many activities, and bonding experiences over the course of a weekend.



Save the First Dance
According to historians, the first dance of a wedded couple didn’t begin at a wedding, but was a tradition seen in 17th-century balls of the wealthy. The hosts would invite or encourage their honored guests to a dance before the rest of the attendees joined them on the floor in merriment. It’s thought that this moved into the wedding traditions somewhere in the late 19th century, where couples would take to the floor with a rehearsed dance displaying their partnership to their guests.



Fall in Love at Gather
While summer in Wisconsin has become quite a renowned and beloved vacation spot for many Midwesterners, (with numerous quaint, historic, and adorable towns, beautiful outdoor features and hiking trails, and a selection of cities that have garnered a music and arts scene, it is hard for it not to be) fall in the dairy state has always been where the locals find most of their excitement.
